Where you are affects you – for better or worse. When you realize this, you realize that you, as the creator of your space, have set things up, allowed things to expand or deteriorate, and thereby to affect your life.
If the front door squeaks or sticks, life is harder than it has to be. If the lamps are burned out or your plugs don’t work, life is harder than it has to be. If there is a broken window or a dripping faucet, life is harder than it has to be.
Who will fix these situations? How did this place get to be in this shape? Why aren’t these things already fixed? Because other things are prioritized. Is there a list of things to do?
When you take the reins of responsibility for creating your environment, you are fully empowered to maintain or change what is unfolding around you. That can be scary or that can be thrilling.
