Regardless of its being declared a dwarf planet in 2006, Pluto reigns the Underworld and all things mysterious and transformative without waning. Pluto was just discovered in 1930, and because it is almost 4 BILLION miles from the Sun, it is a little difficult to learn more about it. Like the god for whom it is named, the planet is associated with secrets and monumental metamorphoses in life.
Because it is so far out there, it takes about 250 years to circumnavigate the Sun. The last time Pluto was in Capricorn was during the American Revolution. America was born in 1776, when Pluto sat at almost 28 degrees of Capricorn, which is EXACTLY where it is again today. Pluto activates the intense, life-altering themes of power, control, sexuality and the subconscious, forcing us to evaluate the truth on every level.
The power of Pluto is scary as Hell, but it demands truth while it evokes courage. You have the strength to deal with whatever comes, no matter how impossible it may seem at first. You must believe in yourself, however, or you lose without ever stepping into the battle. You should know that when Pluto comes to visit, nothing is left unchanged. Nothing. One thing for sure, though, is that it’s a better world because of the changes that have occurred.
