Enchantment

Since the Industrial Revolution, the world has been suffering from DISenchantment. Isaac

Newton viewed everything as mechanical, and presented science to prove his theory. This

philosophy leaves nothing that science can’t explain, no matter how large or small. This

same view of the universe is said to be repeated down into our atomic structure.

For more than 99% of human history, the world was enchanted and we saw ourselves

as an important part of that enchantment. The complete reversal of this perception

is only about 400 years old. It has been steadily eroding our sense of magical power.
